Meet the Research TeamDr. Ken MaddenDr. Ken Madden is a trained geriatric medicine specialist whose main research interest is the effect of aging and disease on cardiovascular physiology. The main clinical applications of this research is examining fainting in older adults and the use of exercise interventions to improve cardiovascular health in older adults with Type 2 diabetes. Dr. Ken Madden is currently in the middle of a CIHR-funded study examining the ability of a home-based walking program to improve arterial stiffness in adults at very high cardiovascular risk (older age, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia). Given the strong focus of our group on health promotion, my research interests have strong linkages with the rest of the investigators involved with VITALiTY. Dr. Graydon MeneillyUnder Construction |
